How to layer your PDRN skincare routine — a 4-week guide

Most skincare routines fail not because the products are bad — but because the order is wrong, the application is inconsistent, or actives are being layered in ways that cancel each other out.

Here’s exactly how to layer a PDRN routine for a visible 4-week reset.

The order of operations

The rule is simple: thinnest to thickest. Lightweight, water-based products go on first; heavier oils, creams and SPF go on last.

For a PDRN routine, the order looks like this:

  1. Cleanser
  2. Hydrating toner or essence (optional)
  3. Serum (this is where PDRN goes)
  4. Eye cream (optional)
  5. Moisturiser
  6. SPF (morning only)

Your morning routine

  1. Cleanse — a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser. Don’t over-strip.
  2. Hydrate — apply 3–4 drops of GlowSerum. Press into skin (don’t rub).
  3. Moisturise — your usual moisturiser locks the serum in.
  4. SPF — non-negotiable. SPF 30+ minimum, broad-spectrum, every single day.

GlowSerum works AM and PM because it contains Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and peptides — ingredients that hydrate, brighten, and don’t cause sun sensitivity.

Your evening routine

  1. Double cleanse — oil cleanser first to remove SPF and makeup, then your regular cleanser.
  2. PDRN serum — 2–3 drops of PulseRenew on clean, dry skin. Press in.
  3. Hydrate — layer GlowSerum on top.
  4. Moisturise — night cream or your usual moisturiser.

The 3-night rule for PulseRenew

If you’re new to PDRN or have sensitive skin: start every second night for the first two weeks, then build up to nightly. The micro-spicules in PulseRenew create a temporary tingling sensation as they activate — this is normal, but introducing slowly helps your skin acclimate.

What NOT to layer with PDRN

  • ❌ High-strength AHA/BHA acids on the same night as PDRN — alternate nights instead.
  • High-percentage retinol on the same night — again, alternate.
  • ❌ Pure Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) immediately before PDRN — the pH conflict reduces both.
  • ✅ Niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, peptides, panthenol — all layer beautifully with PDRN.

Week-by-week: what to expect

Week 1

Hydration improves. Skin feels more comfortable. You might notice a mild tingle from PulseRenew — that’s the micro-spicules working.

Week 2

Tone starts evening out. Texture begins to refine. You should notice improvement in dewiness.

Week 3

Visible brightening. Skin looks healthier and more luminous in mirrors and photos.

Week 4

Firming becomes visible. Fine lines may soften. Friends might start saying ‘your skin looks amazing’. This is when most customers say it clicks.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Inconsistency. 5 days a week beats 7 days for one week and zero for the next.
  • Skipping SPF. PDRN supports renewal, but UV undoes it. Wear sunscreen.
  • Mixing too many actives. Pick a few that work, do them well.
  • Expecting results in days. Skin renews on a 28-day cycle minimum. Give it time.

The complete PDRN routine in one kit

If you want the simplest path: the Skin Reset Kit includes both PulseRenew and GlowSerum, designed to work together. One bottle for night, one for day and night. Visible reset in 4 weeks, $11 saving vs buying separately.
